University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was established in the year 2003 through UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand. (a) Minimum 80% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
(b) Minimum 80% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level(12th)
2) -(2) - JEE Main Merit -

(a) Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
(b) Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level(12th)
(c) JEE Main Score (cut-off score to be announced after declaration of JEE Main 2014 results)
1) Exam Pathway -
UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) followed 
by Centralized Counseling through UPESEAT Merit rank 
2)For B. Des only : In addition to UPESEAT, a separate Design Test will be conducted on the same day immediately after UPESEAT exam,  followed by Centralized Counseling through UPESEAT Merit rank. Design Test will be of 1 hour

a) Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
b) Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level(12th)
c) CLAT ranking up to 5000 / L-SAT India score of 60 percentile or above
